Three
World War Two veterans founded Container Research Corporation
(CRC) in 1956. At that time, there was an immediate need
for metal containers to replace degrading wood boxes then
in use by the military and commercial businesses. Stanley
Rines, a manufacturing expert, William
Swan, a professional engineer, and Nicholas Sclufer,
a business entrepreneur and developer combined
their talents to meet that need.
The organization grew from a small, multi-building mill
in Springfield, Pennsylvania and moved to its present
location in Glen Riddle in 1963. The facilities were upgraded
and expanded over the years to its 250,000 square foot
plant .
The company has thrived on the development of a vast range
of containers and other products primarily related to
the aerospace industry and continues to be a leader in
the field of engineering and manufacturing.
CRC
is a well-respected veteran-owned, small business.
CRC is committed to a level of safety,
reliability and technical competence on which
industry and its clients can depend.
